PRP/ GFC treatment

  1. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a component of your blood that contains a higher concentration of platelets than what is typically found in whole blood. Platelets are small blood cells responsible for clotting and contain growth factors that play a vital role in tissue healing and regeneration.

How is PRP obtained? To create PRP, a small amount of your blood is drawn (usually from your arm) and then processed in a centrifuge machine. The centrifuge separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components, resulting in a concentrated PRP solution.

    Uses of PRP:

    1. Skin Rejuvenation: PRP is sometimes used in cosmetic treatments, such as the “Vampire Facial,” to stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines, and improve skin texture and tone.

    2. Hair Restoration: PRP can be injected into the scalp to promote hair growth and help in cases of androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness).

    3. Musculoskeletal Injuries: PRP injections are used to treat certain musculoskeletal conditions like tendonitis, ligament injuries, and osteoarthritis. The growth factors in PRP can aid in tissue repair and reduce inflammation.

    The PRP Treatment Process:

    1. Blood Collection: A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm using a syringe.

    2. Centrifugation: The collected blood is then placed in a centrifuge machine, which spins rapidly to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood components.

    3. PRP Extraction: Once the centrifugation is complete, the concentrated PRP is carefully extracted from the separated blood.

    4. Treatment: The PRP is then applied or injected directly into the target area, depending on the purpose of the treatment.
